About Me

Welcome! I am so glad you're here!

I'm an Air Force wife and mom to three boys, and I am passionate about education, parenting and family issues, and pizza.

Growing up in a family of educators, teaching has always been a part of who I am. After finishing my B.A. in Communications Studies, I went on to get my Masters in Elementary Education and certification in Gifted Education. I taught for 7 years, one in England, and two of those as the Gifted Education specialist in my school. After leaving the classroom to have my own children, I became very interested in Montessori and homeschool education, and completed my Montessori certification in Lower Elementary Education from NAMC in the summer of 2013. I have been homeschooling since August, 2013.

And I really, really love pizza.
